A link is followed by the description, then comments on difficulty, and then their numerical rating by barrier of entry, judgement, and difficulty.
There are two component to total difficulty which is judgement(gamers' opinions) and barrier of entry which indicate how difficult to get your game on the site.
Judgement:
- 1. No judgement.
- 2. Rating system.
- 3. Must have a complete game.
- 4. Must have L33T state of the art graphics!
- ?. Unknown
Barrier of entry:
- 1. No editorial process.
- 2. Must be a type of game.
- 3. An editorial process or lengthy procedure.
- 4. Must catch attention.
- ?. Unknown
Notes that judgement is related to the opinion of your game. The judgement factor take into consideration appeals such as fancy graphics, their zeal for quick look, and audience. For example, some audience or readership do not care if your game is still in development stage and is not the final version of your game, they will treat all the games as completed. While others are extremely harsh on 2D graphics. However, please make note that this is NOT AN EXCUSE for having bad gameplay or poorly done presentation of the game.
If anything, this is a guide to help you avoid reputation scars stemming from the fact that your game is still in early development. Be sure to read the commentary for more indepth information about the site.
Depending on situation and sites in question, you must be careful so that you do not anger the site users or owner unless you want an unsavory reputation.
